“This is something I didn’t want ever to do. I hate that we lost you. I will miss those calls where you act like you got a question, and we talk. I will miss you getting mad at me for holding out on you with my team shirt, which I regret now so much the times we had together. I’ll always remember the laughs, the crying, the point trips we made! And I’ve never told you how proud I was of you for becoming the coach you were. We shared a dream, and I loved seeing you kill it out there. I hope to become half of the coach you were. I have so much to say about you, and it’s just not coming out. Please don’t be mad at me, Colby Callaway. I’m trying to stay strong for you, Lacey Callaway, and Carli, but I’m breaking here. I love you with all my heart. I’ll never let your dream die, my friend. Please watch over us in these times to my best friend. Rests easy, brother.”
